One of the very rare romance songs that was written before I met my wife. For the record, this one was written for Vanessa, who used to surprise me in LA by driving down from her apartment in San Francisco. The backing band here is pretty much an intact iteration of Paper Sun, the band started by Joel Eckels, and his then wife, Sally, which I joined, and we fronted as three co-lead singers for a number of years. We had an amazing live show and you can kind of feel that vibe on this track. Mixed by Chris James.
