Black cat walking by the side of the road Come down from the hills to the valley below Walking, running or waiting to die For a few kind words in the cold of the night It's all right Follow the light Blood moon rising up the side of the hill The trees are all burning and the buckets are filled Walking, running or waiting to die For a few kind words in the cold of the night It's all right Follow the light To where the water becomes life To where the stars fill up the night And it’s all right It’s all right Follow the light

Someday I will fall Into the river, into the river I will fall alone, into the river Into the river I will fall Someday, into the river Before the hills are white with snow Someday, some day Someday I will fall Into the river, into the river I will fall someday, into the river Into the river I will fall Alone, into the river Before I’m underneath the world Someday, some day I know that you’ll be back again I see you running against the wind Someday I will fall Into the river, into the river I will fall alone, into the river Into the river I will fall Someday, into the river Before the hills are white with snow Someday, some day

All my days and all my nights All my love and all my wine Every stretch of open space And vintage lace It’s all for you It’s all for you It’s all for you Oh my love Oh my love All these flames of love and war All these wounds and all these cures And the road to paradise Is in your eyes I wait for you I weep for you I die for you Oh my love Oh my love

about

Krister Axel Ashland, Oregon

Hi, my name is Krister Axel. I am a roots-rock veteran of the indie music scene, and I have a degree in Poetry. I am a published lyricist, composer, and songwriter. I started playing piano in White Plains, New York because our black upright piano fascinated me and my sisters hated their piano lessons. That was in the 80's and I have never stopped writing songs.
My music blog is called CHILLFILTR.
