about

I know what you are saying. You're wondering: why is a studio musician like Krister Axel giving away a live E.P. of jam band material? The answer is because it was epic, and if you like this sort of thing it doesn't get better. These songs have a vibe that only happens one way - spontaneously. We didn't have a single practice. Adam knew the songs a little bit, and everyone else was just playing along. At The Hotel Cafe in Hollywood is a tribute to jam music lovers everywhere. "I'm The Gun" was on fire.

about

Krister Axel Ashland, Oregon

I started playing piano in White Plains, New York because our black upright piano fascinated me and my sisters hated their piano lessons. That was in the 80's and I have never stopped writing songs. I write love songs and political songs but mostly love songs.

I play a lot of acoustic guitar, some electric, and different kinds of piano plus accordions and harmoniums and other assorted weird shit.
